Dr. Addison Montgomery is making her return to Grey Sloan Memorial for season 18 of Grey’s Anatomy. Dr. Montgomery, who is played by Kate Walsh, hasn’t walked the halls of this hospital in years, but she is finally coming back.
Fans of the show were excited to hear that Montgomery will be returning, mainly for the drama. Addison is the ex-wife of Derek Shepherd, who ended up going on to marry the main character of the show, Meredith Grey.
The tangled web made for good television. Even though Derek Shepherd, played by Patrick Dempsey, is no longer around in the show, there’s no doubt that Shonda Rhimes won’t be able to write some juicy drama for the remaining characters to get caught up in.
Kate Walsh made her announcement that she will be returning to the show in one of the most trendy ways to announce news these days, making a TikTok. Walsh made a TikTok video about “questions she gets frequently asked.”
The big question she always gets asked is if she will be returning to Grey’s Anatomy. Walsh responded to this question with a trending TikTok dance, in which she finally answered the huge question with a “YES.”
Walsh went on to caption her TikTok video, “It’s really happening. Dr. Addison Montgomery will see you shortly.” Making it official that this TikTok video is not a drill and that it is true that she will be coming back to Grey’s Anatomy.
She also made another video with more details for fans, saying “it feels so good to be home again.” Walsh expressed that she’s excited to join Shonda and Ellen (Ellen being an original castmate of Walshes) and the rest of the incredible cast on season 18 of Grey’s Anatomy.
Walsh got fans excited for the upcoming season with Dr. Montgomery by ending the video with a, “Just wait till you see what she’s got in store for you.”
Shonda Rhimes never fails when it comes to crazy plot twists and amazon storylines, which is most likely why Grey’s Anatomy has been on for 18 seasons. With Dr. Montgomery back now, hopefully the show will go on for many more.
