Cardi B and Offset welcomed their second child together this past Saturday. The two already share a 3-year old daughter together, Kulture. Now, the couple are parents to two together!
On Monday, Cardi shared to Instagram the announcement of the birth of her son. She posted a picture of her cradling her son in a hospital bed with Offset right by her side. The two are both looking down and smiling at their son who Cardi is holding. Cardi captioned the adorable picture, “9/4/21🦕💙🧸.”
Offset also shared a photo to his Instagram with the caption, “Chapter 5,” indicating the birth of his fifth child. While Offset and Cardi only share two children with one another, Offset has three other children of his own from previous relationships.
The picture he posted to Instagram shows him laying down on a guest bed in the hospital room, holding his son, while Cardi is looking over at them from her hospital bed.
Both Cardi’s and Offset’s Instagrams flooded with comments of congratulations and love from both other stars and also tons of fans as soon as they made their posts. The couple definitely is surrounded by a lot of love.
The couple went on to make an official statement with PEOPLE about the birth of their second child. The couple shared, “We are so overjoyed to finally meet our son. He is already loved so much by family and friends and we can’t wait to introduce him to his other siblings.”
Cardi B and Offset originally announced the news of their pregnancy in a live performance at the BET awards in June. Cardi came out to join her husband on stage, and when she did she was showing off her baby belly that made it clear she was definitely pregnant.
After the announcement of her second pregnancy, she revealed that she actually began having pregnancy symptoms during rehearsals for her Grammy performance with Meg Thee Stallion and that’s when she knew.
Now, as time has gone by and award shows where Cardi has performed pregnant have passed, the two officially welcomed their baby boy into the world. The two have not yet revealed the name of their son, but they did share with the world that they delivered a happy and healthy baby, adding another member to their family.
