Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Could Be The Republican Party’s Best Chance At Reclaiming The White House In 2024

The 2020 Presidential Election was tough for the Republican Party, but one potential hero may have emerged that can save the Republican Party in 2022 and beyond. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis was praised by citizens within his state for handling the pandemic in such a way that promoted freedom and didn’t restrain citizens to harsh stay-at-home orders and lockdowns.

His popularity is already positioning him to be a top-contended for the 2024 Republican Nomination. If former President Trump decides to run, then it might not be possible for DeSantis to have a real shot at winning. On the other hand, if Trump skips the opportunity to run again, Ron DeSantis seems like the obvious choice, at least right now.

His approval ratings are extremely respectable and many experts believe that he’d virtually guarantee a Republican victory in the state of Florida within the electoral college. He’s already a heavy-favorite to win re-election in the governor’s race in 2022, a stepping stone that could eventually lead to the presidency if all of the stars align for him.

A lot of factors are out of DeSantis’ control in terms of whether he should run in 2024. In fact, most of it rests with President Trump, who has already called himself the presumptive nominee. Consider the wild possibility where President Trump runs again for the nomination, but instead of selecting Mike Pence as his running mate, he chooses the Florida governor, Ron DeSantis, instead.

This is a wild possibility that probably doesn’t have much chance of actually coming true, but anything has been possible in politics over the course of the last four years and there’s no reason to think that it’s going to stop in 2024’s election either.
