The infamous Voice couple is gearing up for marriage. Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton recently filed for a marriage license in the state of Oklahoma, making them one step closer to tying the knot.
While the marriage license doesn’t reveal the exact date of the wedding, it is confirmed that the license is good for 10 days after the issue date. Therefore, we do know the wedding is happening any day now. There’s a good chance they may even hold it over the holiday weekend.
Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton met each other back in 2014 when Gwen joined the show as a brand new coach. Blake Shelton was already a coach on the show as an original coach from the beginning. The two hit it off and it has been love ever since. Now, nearly 7 years later, the couple is about to say “I do.”
Back in 2014 when Gwen Stefani joined season 7 of The Voice as a coach, both stars were going through a divorce. Despite the hardships the two may have been going through, they clearly bonded and found a match in one another.
While there was speculation the two may have been together at the time, it didn’t become official until season 9 of the show. As time has flown, the couple is ready to embark on a new journey together and give marriage another shot, but this time with one another.
The two announced their engagement in October of this past year. Ever since their announcement, they have kept their wedding plans pretty tight knit, only dropping subtle hints as to when the wedding will be and what it will be like.
As mentioned the couple has kept their wedding plans under wraps for the most part. Gwen herself has mentioned that they are going to keep it very low key and have an intimate ceremony.
Last month when Stefani guested on Late Night with Seth Myers, she said, “We’re keeping it very simple. Really simple,” when talking about the wedding. It appears the two aren’t into the glitz and glam, they never really have been known for that.
She continued on discussing her plans saying “I think the guest list will not have a lot of musicians. It’ll be like my mom and my dad. It’s literally going to be just family. We are looking forward to that, though.”

Even though there is no confirmation, we know that the two will make their wedding spectacular and everyone supports them keeping the ceremony personal and out of the public eye for now.
