Beauty creator and famous YouTube star Jeffree Star, 35, was hospitalized after being in a severe car accident Friday. According to the influencer’s Twitter, Star and a friend, Daniel Lucas, suffered injuries from the accident in Wyoming.
“A few hours ago, Jeffree and Daniel were in a severe car accident, and the car flipped 3 times after hitting black ice,” read the tweet from @JeffreeStar. “We will update you all when the doctor gives us more info. So thankful they are both alive.” The influencer’s post shows Star in a hospital bed wearing a neck brace. Lucas sits at his bedside, holding his hand.
According to Wyoming Highway Patrol, Star and his friend were heading northbound in Natrona County on Hat Six Road when they crashed. Star and Lucas are being treated for their injuries at Wyoming Medical Center. Authorities reported that Star was operating the vehicle while Lucas was riding passenger at the time of the crash.
Star bought a 70-acre ranch last year in Casper, WY. He’s previously a native of Orange County in Southern California. He is best known for his YouTube channel, having 16.5 million subscribers, and his cosmetics line, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, founded in 2014. The star has 13.6 million followers on Instagram and 6.9 million on Twitter.
He was born Jeffrey Lynn Steininger and gained his stardom from Myspace, a social networking site, amongst his YouTube channel and cosmetics line.
