Adopting The Perfect, Simple Morning Skincare Routine

Taking care of your skin is important.

And yet, a lot of people don’t know how to do it.

There are people out there who don’t have any type of morning skin-care regimen.

And there are people who are probably going way overboard with a complicated, expensive, 20-step method.

So in this post, we’re going to break it down and get down to the fundamentals.

This advice comes from Dr. Anthony Youn, known as America’s holistic plastic surgeon.

And in this blog post, we’re going to go over his 5 step plan for taking incredible care of your skin, to help you look and feel your best.

Let’s dive in.

Step 1: Cleanse Your Skin

First off, it’s important to understand that not all cleansers are the same.

You don’t want to use common bar soap on your face.

Instead, purchase a high quality cleanser that’s actually made for facial skin.

If you tend to have oily skin, you should opt for a foaming cleanser.

If you tend to have dry or sensitive skin, then you should opt for a hydrating or moisturizing cleanser.

Step 2: Tone Your Skin

The first thing you want to do when toning your skin is to avoid alcohol-based astringents.

These remove important oils and mess with the microbiome of your facial skin.

Instead, use toners that help you to re-establish natural PH levels on the skin of your face.

These toners shouldn’t have alcohol included as a main ingredient.

Step 3: Apply An Antioxidant With A Vitamin C/E Combo

When it comes to a morning skincare regimen, this may be the most important step.

You’ll want to purchase a high quality antioxidant to apply to your skin in the morning… and it’s highly recommended that you choose an antioxidant with a combination of the vitamins C and E.

This is important because it helps to protect your skin from free radicals; damaging molecules that can damage your skin over time.

Most antioxidants contain only vitamins C or E. But if you buy and use one that combines these two vitamins, you actually get a synergistic effect that works much better than either one works on their own.

Step 4: Use Eye Cream

For best results, apply an eye cream in the morning that contains retinol, to help to tighten and moisturize the skin.

This will help to diminish dark spots and wrinkles around the eyes, and keep your skin looking youthful and healthy.

Step 5: Use Sunscreen

Applying sunscreen is important if you plan to spend any time outside.

Ideally, you want to use a sunscreen with an SPF rating of 30 or more. This will block up to 97% of the sun’s damaging rays, protecting your face and preventing premature aging.

In Conclusion

Hopefully, this post has helped you to understand how easy it can be to adopt a simple, straightforward daily skincare routine.

And best of all, you don’t even need to buy a bunch of expensive products to make it work.

Start out with lesser-expensive products, and feel free to upgrade and try new things as you gain experience.

Taking care of your skin is a great idea. It’ll help you to keep looking and feeling youthful and vibrant in the days, months, and even years to come.
