Pfizer/BioNTech’s Covid Vaccine 100% Effective In 12-15 Year Olds

According to a CNN post that was updated on March 31st, 2021, the Pfizer/BioNTech’s Covid-19 vaccine shows a 100% efficacy rate in children ages 12 to 15

As the Covid pandemic carries on, most of us are torn between two different versions of what we see as being ‘true.’

On one hand, you may feel hard-pressed to believe that the pandemic itself is coming to a close, or even winding down.

In fact, news of Covid variants is now flooding into the mainstream news outlets; and this can lead you down an unsettling line of thought.

Is the pandemic REALLY winding down, or are we kidding ourselves?

But then, there are stories (like this one) that give us an opportunity to look at the positive flipside of the coin.

As the vaccine rolls out, and as we become more ‘resistant’ to the virus as a species, better times are likely around the corner.

Phase 3 Of The Vaccine Trial Is Going Extremely Well

Here’s the real truth.

A lot of people are still skeptical of the vaccine.

But when you look at the facts, it’s easy to see that there are some pretty optimistic things going on.

For example; in the Phase 3 trial referenced above, which included 2,260 participants ages 12 to 15, the vaccine elicited what researchers called “strong antibody responses” just one month after the second dose.

According to the data, of the 1,129 participants who were given a placebo, 18 came down with cases of Covid.

On the other side of the aisle, however, of the 1,131 volunteers who were given the real vaccine (ages 12 to 15), zero percent of them came down with Covid cases

The data has yet to be peer-reviewed, but it shows promise; promise that the pandemic may indeed be winding down, and that our efforts to fight it are working.

And despite fears that the vaccine isn’t exactly what it’s been ‘cracked up to be,’ the signs still point to progress.

In The Meantime: Here Are 3 Things You Can Do To Continue On The Path Of Health And Wellness During The Pandemic

Yes, the pandemic may still be in full-swing in a lot of ways.

But that doesn’t mean that you can’t continue on a path of health and wellness in the meantime, as we wait for society to open back up and get back to whatever semblance of ‘normalcy’ we can expect in the months and years to come.

1. Keep Exercising

Exercise is, without a doubt, one of the most important things to continue to prioritize during the pandemic.

Get out and walk. Do yoga. Run. Lift weights at home. Dance.

Get up, and keep moving your body.

It’ll make you feel better and keep you healthier.

2. Keep Your Diet Clean

Stick to fruits, vegetables, and whole foods over processed foods filled with sugar.

It’s so easy to order takeout; but try to resist doing this too often.

Stick to those veggies and those whole foods. As summer approaches, you’ll be so glad that you kept your diet clean and kept that extra fast-food weight off.

3. Continue Meditating And Practicing ‘Mindfulness’

Staying grounded in the ‘here and now’ is very important during an event like the Covid pandemic.

Stress, worry, anxiety, and depression are natural things to feel during and after a disaster event like Covid.

So keeping up with your own mental health is essential.

Practicing meditation, even for just 5 or 10 minutes per day, and striving to stay focused on the events right in front of you (instead of dwelling on the more distant future and problems that may exist on the horizon) can do wonders to help you navigate the rough waters of isolation and the increased stress you may be experiencing.

In Conclusion

By all accounts, it looks like we’re on the verge of a positive upswing in terms of getting over the pandemic.

This latest news about the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine is just one more piece of information to accept as good news.

Stay in good spirits, and keep your chin up.

Better times are on the horizon.
