Mask Mandates Could Return Regardless of Vaccinated Status According to Biden Administration

The Biden Administration is floating around the idea of requiring masks for vaccinated and unvaccinated citizens as they fumble their handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. This new discussion comes just a few hours after the ‘Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’ issued new guidance for masks in public to all citizens.

It is true that many states are experiencing an increase in daily cases, although most of them have been reported as mild. There’s also been a small increase in the number of vaccinations per day in this most recent week.

It has been a major struggle for Biden’s administration to convince millions of Americans to go against their personal beliefs and ultimately get the vaccine. At this point in time, nearly 60% of the adult population in the United States is fully vaccinated, according to the CDC.

Biden has faced plummeting approval ratings across multiple categories, including his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. He is currently looking at the possibility of invoking mask mandates in the near future if daily cases continue to rise across the country.

Only time will tell if the small increase in cases will continue to spiral out of control. The current trajectory shows that while there are some warning signs, there is still no need for widespread mask mandates. Although many schools and universities are going to be mandating that all students wear masks when they return to the classroom later this year after the summertime concludes.
