Caitlyn Jenner Presses Onwards With Her California Governor Campaign

Caitlyn Jenner continues to press onwards with her official campaign for the 2021 California Recall Election that will more than likely take place later this year as millions of signatures come in from voters that intend to recall Governor Newsom.

While it remains unclear if Newsom would actually be successfully removed, a significant celebrity like Caitlyn Jenner could bring some bad news towards Governor Newsom for a couple of different reasons. California citizens have already shown that they are fed up with stay-at-home orders and mask mandates that relate to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Caitlyn Jenner is running as a Republican and might even have a significant chance of achieving a victory if Newsom is recalled. Jenner would be the nation’s first transgender citizen to ever to serve as a governor within America. It would be a significant milestone, considering that California is almost the most populous state in the entire country with nearly 40 million people living there.

If the recall passes, any one of the countless candidates that are on the ballot could win. If Jenner has the most name recognition and narrowly defeats all of the remaining candidates, she could become the California Governor after a successful recall of Gavin Newsom.

If Jenner ends up winning the election,it would be a significant change for a state that has continued to shift in favor of the Democrats for nearly the last three decades. Democrats are starting to fear that Newsom may be on a losing trajectory as the popularity of someone like Caitlyn Jenner increases. It certainly won’t help Newsom’s chances when the recall election takes place in November of this year.

There’s still a long way to go before the recall election actually takes place and there’s no way of knowing which candidates may enter the race between now and the election. With that being said, Jenner’s candidacy should not be ignored because there’s a very real chance that she’s going to be a serious contender for the governorship.
