Neil Diamond Has Been Diagnosed With Parkinson’s, Will Stop Touring


Neil Diamond has shared a new medical diagnosis with fans – Parkinson’s disease. He made the announcement on January 24 through a heartfelt statement on his personal website.

“It is with great reluctance and disappointment that I announce my retirement from concert touring,” Diamond, 77, said. He went on to explain that the disease has made it difficult for him to travel, but he plans to remain active in writing and recording projects.

The Grammy winner and Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame inductee has sold more than 130 million albums over his 50-year career.
