Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher Jokingly Address the ‘Not Bathing’ Debate they Accidentally Started

In a recent interview, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher admitted that they don’t always bathe their children everyday. They admitted sometimes they wait until the kids really need a shower until they actually give them one.

Mila Kunis revealed that she wasn’t the type of parent to bathe her newborn… “ever.” Kutcher followed up on her statement saying, “Here’s the thing. If you can see the dirt on them, clean them. Otherwise, there’s no point.”

While the two were just being totally candid about their lives as parents and poking fun at the situation as it most likely is relatable for many parents out there, they did not realize what they started with their comments. Surely, the couple assumed their remarks about not bathing would never really be thought about again, but little did they know that they were starting a “non-bathing war” online.

Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard soon after addressed the other celebrity couple’s confession and they also admitted their guilt of not bathing their children everyday. Shepard said, “Once you catch a whiff, that’s biology’s way of letting you know to clean it up.”

While the confessions were meant to be lighthearted, somewhat amusing comments, the internet was not having it. People online took these celebrities’ comments and ran with them, starting a huge debate over “non-showering” celebrities.

They started asking other stars online if they were “stinky” like the other couples who admitted to not bathing everyday. One of those stars being the Rock, who wanted to let everyone know that he in fact showered three times a day.

Why did the internet want to pin celebrities against each other so badly over… showering? This non-showering talk went on for days, as Kunis and Kutcher received ridicule and judgement over their candid confession.

However, the couple could not help but think it was actually hilarious. Kutcher decided to address their apparent poor hygiene topic in a true comedic fashion. He posted an Instagram video of himself and Mila cracking up laughing as water ran in the background and he said, “Are you trying to injure them with water? This is ridiculous. What is going on?”

Kunis, admitting through tears of laughter, that she was in fact bathing her children, but Kutcher was right, it was “too much.”

Clearly, the two weren’t too hurt by the internet feud that they accidentally started. Instead, they took it in stride and jokingly addressed the internet to show them that yes, their children DO get showers… but they’d prefer if they didn’t because the water could melt them.
