Jordyn Wieber Reveals She Too Was Sexually Abused By Larry Nassar

The legion of young gymnasts sexually abused by former USA Gymnastics team doctor Larry Nassar continues to grow.

On January 19, 2012 Olympic Gold Medalist Jordyn Wieber released a statement on social media revealing that she, too, was a victim of the now-imprisoned Nassar.

“I have decided to come forward and share that I am a survivor of Larry Nassar’s abuse,” Wieber, 22, wrote on Instagram. “I have spent time contemplating exactly what happened to me and decided to share my experience to be an advocate for change. Even though I am a victim, I will not and do not live my life as one.”

More than 40 women have come forward, including Olympians Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Ally Raisman and McKayla Maroney.
